Serie A holders Juventus are reportedly said to hold an interest in acquiring the services of Shkodran Mustafi from Arsenal during the ongoing transfer window.
The Bianconeri are keen to rebuild their squad after securing a seventh straight league title and they have of late been linked with big-money deals for Cristiano Ronaldo and Sergej Milinkovic-Savic.
Amidst this, they have made it a priority to recruit a new central defender and Mustafi is among the candidates being considered, according to Corriere dello Sport.
Max Allegri's side are presently looking into a potential deal for one of Diego Godin or Jerome Boateng but the failure to sign either may turn their interest towards Mustafi.
The German World Cup winner has not quite managed to meet the Gunners' expectations since parting ways with Valencia two years ago and the club may be open towards his exit this summer.
Arsenal head of recruitment Sven Mislintat is understood to have his concerns regarding the former Sampdoria man and a young recruit could be brought in, should he be offloaded from the Emirates.
