Manchester United have reportedly made a formal bid worth £35m to acquire the signature of Barcelona defender Yerry Mina.
United have been on the search for a new centre-back since the start of the transfer window and they are now facing a race against time with Thursday's deadline approaching.
According to The Sun, the Red Devils have made a bid of around £35m for Mina and they are keen to know the outcome of their approach by the end of the day.
Aside from Mina, the likes of Toby Alderweireld and Jerome Boateng have also been linked with the club, but in both cases, United have been put off by the asking price.
United have most recently turned down a part-exchange deal from Barcelona for Paul Pogba, which has included Andre Gomes and Mina as makeweights. They are, however, still keen on landing the Colombian before the transfer window closes.
