Ramos: no UEFA Cup regret

Ramos: no UEFA Cup regret

13 March 2008 - 22:40

Juande Ramos has no regrets after not practicing penalties before last night's UEFA Cup defeat to PSV Eindhoven. Dimitar Berbatov had given Tottenham some hope, but Pascal Chimbonda and Jermaine Jenas penalty misses saw Spurs dumped out of the competition.

  • Man Utd star preparing farewell video ahead of transfer
  • Confirmed Arsenal line-up (4-2-3-1) vs Atletico Madrid, Lewis-Skelly starts
  • Ramos said: "I didn't know about it. When it comes to the fifth penalty it's heads or tails. That is how it is with penalties."

"Every player in the Premier League is capable of scoring a penalty but in a situation like this you cannot train the pressure that comes with it," he said.

"Everyone is sad in the dressing room but every player that takes a penalty is courageous, I can only congratulate them."
