Chelsea are reportedly planning an approach for Lyon captain Nabil Fekir, who was the subject of a failed transfer from Liverpool last summer.
The France international appeared certain to join the Reds before the World Cup but the deal was scuppered at the 11th hour after concerns regarding his fitness record.
Thereafter, Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas confirmed the deal had broken down but this has not entirely ceased the speculation regarding the attacker's future.
According to L'Equipe, both Chelsea and Bayern Munich have emerged as new admirers of the 25-year-old, who has bagged two goals and two assists for Les Gones this campaign.
Fekir's current contract with Les Gones expires at the end of the 2019/20 season and the French outfit are likely to cash in on his services by the summer, should the player's contract standoff continue.
Chelsea are currently trailing Manchester City by two points at the top of the Premier League standings whilst Bayern are in a similar position with a four-point gap to table-toppers Borussia Dortmund in the Bundesliga.
