Alexis Sanchez could be hampered in his ambition to pursue a fresh challenge away from Manchester United in January after picking up a hamstring problem in training.
The Chilean has been a huge disappointment since making the switch to United from Arsenal in January and he has managed just four goals from 30 appearances in all competitions.
Owing to this, his future has been regularly questioned in the media but according to Evening Standard, he could stay put beyond the forthcoming transfer window.
Sanchez has recently been deemed to be desperate to leave Old Trafford with Paris Saint-Germain among those interested, but his current injury may sideline him for a month while putting him out of the shop window.
The Chilean has been in-and-out of the matchday squad under Jose Mourinho this term and he was recently excluded from the team which secured a 1-0 Champions League win over Young Boys.
