David Beckham hoped he impressed as Fabio Capello's right hand man Franco Baldini watched his most recent game for the LA Galaxy, against FC Dallas. Beckham is currently chasing his 100th England cap and was overlooked by Capello for the previous game against Switzerland.
Beckham said: "Baldini came to see me. Some people might think that adds a little added pressure, but from my side, there was no added pressure I just had to perform, play the balls I could play and work hard.
"That's just part and parcel for a player playing for his national team. You're always being watched by somebody. It just comes with the territory."
