Sir Alex wants Ole as permanent United boss

Sir Alex Ferguson advises Manchester United on permanent manager

Sir Alex Ferguson has reportedly urged Manchester United to appoint Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as the permanent head coach following his impressive guidance over the past two months.

  • Mauricio Pochettino confirms fresh injury blow for Chelsea star
  • Arsenal want to make four marquee signings this summer

  • The Norwegian was appointed on the temporary basis to replace Jose Mourinho in mid-December and he has since transformed the club's fortunes in the Premier League with an unbeaten run.

According to The Mirror, the Red Devils icon has been impressed by the performance of his former player at the helm and has advised the club to appoint him as the manager on a permanent role.

United have suffered just one defeat in the 14 matches which Ole has managed and that came during the 2-0 loss to Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League earlier this month.

The Mancunian giants recently dropped outside of the top four positions after the goalless stalemate against Liverpool, though their performance was impressive, given they had suffered three key injuries in the first period itself.
