Manchester United midfielder Juan Mata is reportedly determined to make the switch to Barcelona at the end of the ongoing campaign.
The Spaniard has been with the Red Devils for the past five years where he has made over 200 appearances for them across all competitions.
Despite this, his future remains uncertain with his contract expiring next month and Diario Sport reports that he could be heading back to the Spanish La Liga.
Former club Valencia and Atletico Madrid are said to have made contact with Mata's father and representative, but the midfielder seems determined to join the Blaugrana.
The Spanish champions are understood to have already held discussions with the 30-year-old's entourage but it remains to be seen whether they will match his multi-year contract demand.
Mata has been in-and-out of the starting lineup at United over the course of the season but he has still been impressive with a tally of six goals and four assists in all competitions for the team.
