Tottenham Hotspur defender set for Serie A move?

Aurier on his way to Milan?

Tottenham Hotspur defender set for Serie A move?

28 August 2019 - 18:58

AC Milan have reportedly made progress towards landing the signature of defender Serge Aurier from Tottenham Hotspur this summer.

  • Chelsea planning move for marquee centre-back
  • Juventus exploring deal for Chelsea striker

  • The north London side have already parted ways with defender Kieran Trippier and it appears that fellow right-back Aurier will likewise head through the exit door.

According to Soccerlink, the Rossoneri have made progress towards signing the former Paris Saint-Germain man after Spurs acknowledged that they are willing to listen to offers for the full-back.

It is added that the Milan giants want a permanent deal for Aurier but it is unclear whether they would be willing to match the Spurs' £22.5m valuation for the Ivory Coast international.

Should Aurier leave the club, Kyle Walker-Peters and Juan Foyth are likely to remain the only specialist right-backs for Spurs until the January transfer window at the least.

Both of them are presently sidelined with injuries and manager Mauricio Pochettino may consider utilising Eric Dier in the right-back role during the weekend's north London derby against Arsenal.
