Inter Milan have reportedly set their sights on landing Olivier Giroud from Chelsea when the transfer window reopens at the turn of the year.
Giroud has made just six appearances for the Blues this term and in recent months, he has barely featured with Tammy Abraham and Michy Batshuayi ahead of him in the pecking order.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Conte is said to want another experienced striker in the club's ranks and he is keen on a reunion with Giroud whom he signed for Chelsea last year.
The same publication claims that Giroud is likewise expected to push for a departure from Stamford Bridge regardless of the outcome of the Blues' transfer ban appeal later this month.
Inter currently have Romelu Lukaku, Lautaro Martinez and Alexis Sanchez as the frontline option but Conte wants more competition as he has regularly played with two strikers.
Giroud's strong hold and link-up play are among the prime reasons behind Conte's interest. The Frenchman could be prised away from the Blues for just £5m with his contract expiring next summer.
