Manchester United legend Roy Keane has said that his former club should sanction the departure of Paul Pogba in the summer, given the Frenchman has no intention of staying put with the club.
Pogba has remained on the sidelines for most of the current campaign with ankle injury setbacks and he is currently going through rehabilitation following a surgery.
Pogba has refused to speak on his United future over the past few months but his agent Mino Raiola has regularly talked up the prospect of him leaving Old Trafford in the summer.
Speaking on Sky Sports, Keane said that United are becoming a laughing stock with the situation of Pogba and they should show him the exit door when the transfer window reopens.
"If it's not right for the club and people are almost laughing at you, these agents, let these lads go. The agents don't want them to be there, I don't think Pogba wants to be there. Just shake hands and say, 'Off you go'. He'll go this summer. He'll go in the summer, 100 percent," he told.
United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has suggested that the 26-year-old will return to action next month but it remains to be seen whether the midfielder will play to the best of his ability with a summer exit appearing likely.
Pogba has less than 17 months left on his contract but the club have the option of extending his deal for another year. He is valued at around £83m after his recurring ankle injury concerns this term.
