Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has offered his thoughts on Timo Werner's transfer interest.
The Reds are said to be leading the race to sign the RB Leipzig striker this summer and Klopp has his say on it.
The German manager didn't rule out the transfer interest while stating that it is normal for Werner to get linked with the Reds.
Klopp said: "I can't say whether we are interested or not. Timo is a very good player.
"It's not unusual for him to be linked with us. After all, I'm a German coach who works abroad. But it's not automatically the case that we sign 12 German internationals every year."
Bayern Munich are the latest club to show interest in the 23-year-old while Barcelona and Real Madrid are keeping close tabs on him.
Werner has been excellent for Julian Nagelsmann's side this season, finding the net 20 times in Bundesliga so far – three goals shy of the league's top scorer Robert Lewandowski.
The German ace reportedly holds a release clause worth £48m.
