The teenager has enjoyed a sublime breakthrough season with the club and he has already amassed three goals and nine assists in all competitions.

Under Mikel Arteta, the 18-year-old has largely played in the left-back spot due to injuries to Sead Kolasinac and Kieran Tierney and he has impressed with almost every opportunity.

Borussia Dortmund are said to be assessing Saka's situation but the north London side believe that the attacker will eventually commit to a new contract beyond next season.

Aside from Saka, the Gunners are holding contract negotiations with skipper Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. The forward has less than 16 months left on his deal and he appears reluctant to sign a renewal unless the club qualify for European football next term.
