Arsenal offer striker to Real Madrid?

24 March 2020 - 15:57

Arsenal have reportedly offered the services of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to Real Madrid amid his reluctance to sign a new long-term contract.

  • Chelsea ready new contract for star midfielder
  • Chelsea make first move to sign Xabi Alonso
  • The Gabon international has been a quality purchase for the Gunners since his arrival from Borussia Dortmund in 2018 and he has already amassed 61 goals in all competitions.

However, his future with the club remains uncertain with his contract expiring in 16 months' time and he could head through the exit door when the transfer window reopens.

Of late, Aubameyang has been linked with a move to Barcelona but Diario Madridista claims that Los Blancos have likewise been offered the chance to sign the 30-year-old marksman.

It is added that the north London giants would prefer to do business with a Spanish outfit rather than allowing one of their domestic rivals to sign their prized asset.

Aubameyang has netted exactly 49 goals in the Premier League for the Gunners. 17 of those have come during the current campaign where the club are five points adrift of the Champions League places.
