Serie A side Fiorentina are reportedly in contact with Arsenal as they seek to land the signature of midfielder Lucas Torreira.
Gunners boss Mikel Arteta is planning a major reshuffle of the club's midfield and both Torreira and Matteo Guendouzi are expected to head for the exit door.
Torreira's agent has openly suggested that the midfielder wants to return to the Serie A and AC Milan and Roma have already been linked with his services.
It is now claimed that La Viola have entered the pursuit and they are in constant negotiations with the Gunners over a summer deal for the Uruguayan.
The north London side are reluctant to sell Torreira for anything less than £25m and it remains to be seen whether the Italian outfit can afford the fee.
Meanwhile, Guendouzi has already been offered to a number of clubs. Villarreal, managed by former Gunners boss Unai Emery, have so far made the only offer which involves a season-long loan with a £30m buy option.
