Wenger looks to next season

Wenger looks to next season

13 April 2008 - 21:52

Arsene Wenger has started thinking ahead to next season after admitting that his side's Premiership challenge was dead in the water after the 2-1 defeat to Man Utd at Old Trafford. Wenger also felt his side deserved at least a point in the game.

  • Predicted Chelsea line-up (4-2-3-1) vs Aston Villa, Palmer starts
  • Chelsea ready to sell four home-grown players

  • “We are out (of the title race) of course. I think we played with quality and spirit and I am very proud of our performance,” Wenger said.

“We got the clear message since March [about not having the depth], and we are not stupid in the dressing room and we understand it and have to accept it.

“We probably deserved something. I believe that this team is good enough. We had a dip since March, and we have to analyse and see where it went wrong.”
