Tottenham Hotspur make Dele Alli transfer decision

Spurs won't loan out Dele Alli amid COVID-19 concerns

Tottenham Hotspur make Dele Alli transfer decision

14 January 2021 - 20:56

Tottenham Hotspur are reluctant to permit the departure of Dele Alli on a temporary deal to Paris Saint-Germain amid COVID-19 fears.

  • Arsenal leading race to sign Belgian midfielder

  • Alli has hardly played for the north London giants this term and he has managed less than 90 minutes of Premier League action.

Hence, he has been linked with a possible reunion with Mauricio Pochettino at Paris Saint-Germain, but a loan deal may not materialise.

Spurs boss Jose Mourinho is concerned with the rising coronavirus cases among players and he is eager to preserve the squad depth.

Hence, Alli is unlikely to be permitted to head out on loan and the same is the case with Harry Winks, who is on Valencia's radar.

Winks has been a regular starter of late after being out of contention for league duties for a number of months.

Mourinho has personally stated that the England international won't be heading anywhere during the ongoing transfer window.

Spurs recently played out a 1-1 draw against Fulham and that sees them six points behind Manchester United, who are top of the table.
