Barcelona manager Ronald Koeman has confirmed that Manchester City defender Eric Garcia will join the club on a free transfer in the summer.
The centre-back has been widely fancied to move to the Camp Nou since August last year and he appears set to join them when his contract expires in June.
Speaking in a press conference, Koeman said that the club are trying to sign Garcia this month, but he will most likely arrive in the summer.
"We already know he (Garcia) will probably arrive in the summer. If it's not possible this January, then we'll accept it and move on," He told.
Aside from Garcia, the club have their sights on landing Georginio Wijnaldum, David Alaba and Sergio Aguero on similar deals.
Among the trio, Wijnaldum has recently snubbed a new contract with Liverpool and he is eager to be reunited with Koeman.
Wijnaldum played under Koeman for the Netherlands and the two have shared a fond relationship over the years.
