Lacazette and Nketiah could be sold this summer

Arsenal could offload two strikers this summer

18 February 2021 - 20:23

Arsenal could part ways with both Alexandre Lacazette and Eddie Nketiah when the transfer window reopens this summer.

  • Chelsea join Liverpool & Man Utd in race to sign 26yo
  • Barcelona identify Arsenal midfielder as key transfer target

  • Lacazette has been in decent form for the Gunners this term and he has accumulated 10 goals from 27 games in all competitions.

His form has particularly improved since Boxing Day but so far, the club have yet to open talks over a new contract.

His current £150,000-a-week deal expires in June 2022 and The Sun claims that he could be offloaded as part of a summer overhaul.

Meanwhile, Nketiah has fallen down the pecking order since December and he has played only 10 minutes of league football this year.

His contract likewise expires at the end of next season and reports claim that the club may look to cash in on his signature.

Aside from Nketiah, the likes of Reiss Nelson, Ainsley Maitland-Niles and Joe Willock have also been linked with possible summer exits.

The Gunners are likely to work on a limited budget and Mikel Arteta will have to offload players to recoup additional funds.
