Tottenham suffer fresh injury blow ahead of Chelsea clash

Tottenham Hotspur have suffered a fresh injury blow ahead of the Premier League clash against Chelsea on Sunday.

  • Mikel Arteta insists 27yo star won't be leaving Arsenal
  • Omari Hutchinson wants to continue at Ipswich Town

  • Spurs were without Heung-min Son, Ryan Sessegnon and Eric Dier for the midweek European trip to Rennes.

Davinson Sanchez, Giovani Lo Celso and Cristian Romero were also missing as they were quarantining in Croatia.

The trio could be available to face the Blues, but manager Nuno Espirito Santo will have to deal with more injury concerns.

Steven Bergwijn and Lucas Moura suffered injuries at Rennes. They are deemed doubtful to feature in the London derby.

Aside from the injured quintet, Japhet Tanganga is definitely out of the Blues clash as he is serving a one-game domestic ban.

Tanganga was sent off in the 3-0 defeat at Crystal Palace for two yellow card offences.

Spurs made an ideal start to the season with three wins from three, but they have now gone winless in back-to-back games.

They have been hampered by the absence of several key players, and will go into the derby against Chelsea as clear underdogs.
