Chelsea are prepared to sell Cesar Azpilicueta to Barcelona once they secure the services of Sevilla defender Jules Kounde.
The Blues recently signed Kalidou Koulibaly from Napoli, and he is expected to strengthen their central defensive department.
Chelsea are still eyeing more reinforcements. A deal for Kounde is being discussed, and the club are confident of sealing the move.
According to Sport, Barcelona are in advanced talks with Chelsea over Azpilicueta, who has already agreed personal terms with them.
The Spain international is likely to be allowed to join the Catalan giants, but a move will be delayed until they sign a new central defender.
Kounde is obviously the main target at the moment, and it could be a matter of days before Azpilicueta makes the switch to Camp Nou.
Azpilicueta has been with the Blues since 2012. He has played everywhere in defence for them, and is now eyeing a new challenge.
A move to the Blaugrana should assure him a regular starting role at right-back ahead of the World Cup in Qatar from November.
