Aston Villa midfielder Douglas Luiz has agreed personal terms with Arsenal ahead of his deadline day move to the club.
The Brazilian has emerged as the Gunners' main midfield target on deadline day, and talks are now ongoing with the Villans.
The Midlands outfit are reluctant to lose him, but they are still being fancied to sell with his contract expiring next summer.
According to Fabrizio Romano, the 24-year-old has now agreed personal terms with the Gunners over a five-year contract.
The Gunners are still in talks with Steve Gerrard's side and remain hopeful of finalising an agreement in the coming hours.
Their opening bid of 20 million pounds has been rejected by Villa, and they are expected to make a fresh proposal of 23 million pounds.
According to various sources, it is suggested that Villa could sanction the midfielder's sale if they receive around 25 million pounds.
Luiz could become the Gunners' sixth summer signing after Marquinhos, Matt Turner, Fabio Vieira, Gabriel Jesus and Oleksandr Zinchenko.
