Arsenal defender Cedric Soares is set to miss the upcoming north London derby against Tottenham Hotspur with a fresh injury.
The Portugal international has not played a single minute for the Gunners this campaign, and he has suffered another setback.
He was recently out of action with a minor issue, and has now picked up another knock that will rule him out for two weeks.
Cedric has dropped down the pecking order this term with Ben White and Takehiro Tomiyasu being the preferred right-backs.
As a result, he has mostly been on the bench for the Gunners, but Mikel Arteta will be hoping to have him back as soon as possible.
The north London giants have a difficult schedule before the World Cup in Qatar with 13 games in the space of just six weeks.
They need as much depth as possible to avoid possible injuries, and Cedric would be a handy option to have for the Cup competitions.
