Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has confirmed that Oleksandr Zinchenko has picked up a fresh muscle injury in training.
The Ukraine international returned from a calf problem against Tottenham Hotspur this month, but he has since missed back-to-back games.
Speaking after the 3-2 win over Liverpool, Arteta revealed the fresh setback for the defender and said that he will be assessed over the coming days.
He said: "He [Zinchenko] had another muscle injury and lets see how it evolves in the next few days."
Arsenal are already without Mohamed Elneny and Emile Smith Rowe with long-term injuries. They can ill-afford more issues with the hectic schedule.
Zinchenko has been slightly injury-prone throughout his career, but Arteta will be hoping that he is available for action as soon as possible.
Arsenal are set to face Bodo/Glimt on the road in Thursday's Europa League clash. Kieran Tierney appears set to operate from the left-back role.
Tierney came on as a late substitute in the victory over Liverpool where Arteta made the choice to start with Takehiro Tomiyasu at left-back.
