Premiership side Tottenham Hotspur have had their â¬6 million bid for the Cruzeiro striker Marcelo Moreno turned down, according to the Brazilian press.
Spurs manager Juande Rmos wants to reinforce his team in the summer so as to fight for a top four finish in the Premiership next season and has underlined the strikeforce as the main department in which they have to strengthen themselves.
Marcelo Moreno is a Bolivian striker who currently features for the Brazilian side Cruzeiro. He has scored 15 goals already and can stil ladd to his tally this season. A multitude of clubs are vying one another for the prized signature of the player and Moreno is certainly a hotshot in terms of transfer speculation.
Spurs initially offered â¬6 million for the Bolivin striker but the Brazilian club rejected their offer on grounds of getting a higher offer. The main bone of contention for Cruzeiro is the amount on offer for the player whom they think is good enough to fetch a considerably large sum of money with which they can then strengthen their side.
Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with several other strikers and might or might not return with a better offer for Moreno. Manager Juande Ramos is actually looking Spain to relieve himself of the dearth of quality strikers in his Spurs side.
