Arsenal legend Gilberto Silva has confirmed that the club are looking for new midfielders ahead of the January transfer window.
The Gunners have had a good start to the Premier League campaign and they are presently only one point behind leaders Manchester City.
Despite the positive beginning, the club have been hampered by several injury concerns. Thomas Partey is currently out until the New Year.
The Ghanaian has had a worrying injury record throughout his Arsenal career and there is speculation that he could be sold in January itself.
Silva has now told The Mirror that the Gunners are exploring the transfer market for new midfielders ahead of the winter window.
He said on Sunday: "I heard that they were maybe looking for some midfielders especially because of Partey being injured at times."
Partey is attracting interest from multiple Saudi Arabia clubs. Juventus are also keen but they are only looking at a short-term loan deal.
