Predicted Man Utd line-up (4-2-3-1) vs Nottingham Forest, Shaw starts

30 December 2023 - 16:48

Manchester United will be aiming for a second straight Premier League win when they face Nottingham Forest on the road this evening.

  • Chelsea star wins PFA Young Player of the Year award
  • Chelsea midfielder won't join Premier League rivals

  • The Red Devils have had a mixed league campaign thus far but they will be aiming to break into the top six before the turn of the year.

    Predicted Line-up:

Andre Onana has played every minute of the Premier League campaign in goal for United and he is expected to continue between the sticks.

In front of him, there could be a solitary change with Aaron Wan-Bissaka dropping to the bench. Luke Shaw should start at left-back after a minor illness.

Diogo Dalot is expected to feature in the right-back position while Raphael Varane and Jonny Evans are set to retain their places in central defence.

Kobbie Mainoo has made the number six position his own with fantastic displays and he should continue in the role ahead of his teammates.

Christian Eriksen is the most creative number eight in the squad for now and he should start with Mason Mount still out on the sidelines.

Further forward, Marcus Rashford should continue on the left wing after a promising return to the XI vs Aston Villa with a quality assist.

Alejandro Garnacho is nailed-on to start in the opposite end. He scored two goals and could have had a third in midweek if not for an offside decision.

Bruno Fernandes will feature in his preferred number 10 role with Rasmus Hojlund up front. The Dane scored his maiden league goal for United on Boxing Day with a late winner.

Predicted Man Utd line-up (4-2-3-1): Onana; Dalot, Varane, Evans, Shaw; Mainoo, Eriksen; Garnacho, Fernandes, Rashford; Hojlund.
