Everton have made an approach to sign Manchester United midfielder Hannibal Mejbri on loan this month.
Mejbri was recently handed a short-term extension until June 2025, but he has made the decision to leave the Red Devils.Â
He recently agreed terms with Sevilla over a loan deal with a buy option, but the Toffees are now looking to hijack the deal.
Sean Dyche's side have made their proposal to the Red Devils, but the final decision will rest on the shoulders of Mejbri.
The midfielder wants regular playing time during the early phase of his career and he has a choice to make in the coming days.
Sevilla have assured him with a guaranteed starting role but he may not get something similar with the Toffees this season.
Dyche currently has a set midfield with Amadou Onana and James Garner.
Abdoulaye Doucoure and Idrissa Gueye have also played there when fit. Mejbri could be better off making a move to Sevilla.
