Arsenal could beat Borussia Dortmund to the signing of Stuttgart striker Serhou Guirassy this summer, according to Florian Plettenberg.
The Gunners are keen on landing a new marksman this summer and they have been linked with several names including Viktor Gyokeres.
The club have opened initial talks for the Swedish star, but Plettenberg cites that they are also interested in signing Guirassy.
Guirassy had a tremendous 2023/24 campaign with Stuttgart where he scored 30 goals from 30 matches across all competitions.
He helped them to qualify for the Champions League, but this is unlikely to stop him from leaving the German club in the coming days.
He has already informed the decision to the hierarchy and he could leave on the cheap due to the €20 million release clause in his deal.
Borussia Dortmund are prepared to make him their main striker, but the club fear that Arsenal could beat them to the player's services.
Mikel Arteta's side could make a better financial proposal.
