Chelsea have been handed a transfer blow with Crysencio Summerville making the switch to West Ham United from Leeds United.
Summerville has been on the Blues' radar over the past few months and it was recently claimed that the hierarchy were contemplating a move.
However, their lack of progress has paved the way for the Hammers to sign him. The Dutchman has joined them for an initial fee of £25 million.
The 22-year-old had a superb 2023/24 season in the Championship. He scored 20 goals and provided nine assists from 46 appearances.
However, his efforts were not sufficient to guide Leeds back to the Premier League. He now has the chance to prove himself at West Ham.
It won't be an easy task for him, considering Jarrad Bowen and Mohammed Kudus are expected to be the first-choice wingers next season.
With Niclas Fullkrug set to join West Ham from Borussia Dortmund, Bowen is likely to spend more time out wide under Julen Lopetegui.
