Claude Makelele may have cost Ashley Cole a chance of playing in the Champions League final on Wednesday night after the Frenchman gave his Chelsea team mate a crunching tackle during training.

It will be a bitter blow for Cole, who was hoping to play in his second ever Champions League final in Moscow on Wednesday evening aganst Manchester United.



Now, his own team mate appears to have crocked him before he even had the chance to step foot on the pitch.



It comes as a bitter blow for Cole, who had been hoping to exert some revenge on Man Utd after the Red Devils clinched the Premiership title. The former Arsenal man is said to be 'gutted and shocked' that he is set to miss out on the game. Wayne Bridge will take his place in the side.
