Bayern Munich striker Mathys Tel has made the decision to continue with the Bundesliga giants amid interest from Chelsea this month.
The Blues recently made an enquiry for the Frenchman. They proposed to sign the 19-year-old on a permanent transfer agreement.
Bayern did not show any interest in negotiating with them, and Florian Plettenberg claims that Tel has the same opinion as well.
The teenager is prepared to play second fiddle to Harry Kane. He is confident of becoming a key player for Bayern in the long run.
The news is a huge blow for the Blues, who need to look at alternative options in the transfer market to bolster their strikeforce this winter.
Nicolas Jackson has been unconvincing leading the line for the club and the same can be said about Christopher Nkunku in recent months.
Nkunku recently opened the door for a transfer to Bayern, but the Blues' €70 million valuation has pulled the plug on the deal.
