Arsenal are set to return for Espanyol goalkeeper Joan Garcia at the end of the season, according to David Ornstein.
The Gunners were hot on the trail of the Spaniard last summer, but could not convince Espanyol into negotiating his price.
The Spanish club refused to accept anything less than his £25m release clause as there was barely any time to find a successor.
However, the scenario will be different this time around. Espanyol are ready to provide a discount for an early transfer deal.
Ornstein has now revealed that Arsenal have done a lot of work on Garcia. Manager Mikel Arteta wants him as the number two to David Raya.
The 23-year-old would be open to joining the club too.
Ornstein indicated in a Q&A session: "Arsenal have done a lot of work on Joan Garcia because Mikel Arteta wants him as number two to David Raya & from what we hear, Garcia would be open to joining."
