Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has heaped praise on Noni Madueke after his man of the match showing against Leeds United at Elland Road.
Madueke was initially named on the bench by the Gunners boss, but he replaced Bukayo Saka in the starting XI after a warm up injury.
The Englishman had a poor outing against Kairat in midweek, but he stepped up against the Whites, delivering two quality assists in the first half.
Speaking after the 4-0 win, Arteta said on Madueke: "[Noni] was certainly ready. The way he prepares every day is fantastic, and he made a difference for the team."
The Gunners have moved seven points clear at the top of the table with a resounding win over the Whites. Manchester City and Aston Villa have the chance to make up ground when they face Spurs and Brentford tomorrow.
Arsenal have added extra pressure on their title challengers with a storming display, and it remains to be seen whether the Cityzens and Villans can respond with a win.
