Ben Arfas OM deal held up

Ben Arfa's OM deal held up

28 June 2008 - 15:28

Lyon winger Hatem Ben Arfa's projected transfer to Marseille has been held up due to a pay dispute with his club, according to Marseille president Pape Diouf.

  • Chelsea expected to sell striker after loan deal
  • Arsenal defender misses training ahead of Man Utd game

  • "There is proving to be a problem between OL and their player," he said.

"It would seem that, in Ben Arfa's contract, a deal has been done according to which the player would receive money from Lyon in the event of a transfer.

"That would seem to be the root of the dispute. Lyon are looking for a solution.

"But OM have nothing to do with this problem. On the contrary, in fact.

"It's just a question of a hitch. There is nothing to fear."
