Bayern Munich midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger has put some of the Premiership's top clubs on red alert after revealing that he would be interested in making the move to England at some stage of his career.

“England does have a good appeal,” Schweinsteiger is quoted as saying in The People.



“It is now one of the world’s best leagues and I heard all about it from Michael, Jens Lehmann and Thomas Hitzlsperger who have all played there.



“I have always wanted to play in England so we will see if it happens this year.”
