Adebayor eyes Spurs revenge

29 October 2008 - 05:33

Arsenal striker Emmanuel Adebayor is looking forward to a better return to White Hart Lane than the last time he visited, as Arsenal slumped to a 5-1 defeat to rivals Tottenham. Adebayor also had an argument on the field with his own team mate, Nicklas Bendtner.

  • Chelsea want Bournemouth ace after Fernandez sale
  • Nottingham Forest agree £45m deal to sign Chelsea striker
  • Adebayor announced: "My last memory of Tottenham was very bad and I’m looking to change that and give them something special."

Adebayor had an argument with team mate Nicklas Bendtner, and is looking to make up for it: "We work every single morning together and who can say they never fell out with their girlfriend or wife? These things are natural. If you love someone too much you fall out with that person. It was very difficult to take. I felt very sorry for what happened, for the fans. You have to apologise straight away if something is not right."
