Time for change at the Bridge

26 September 2007 - 08:20

After a bad start to their season, new Chelsea boss Avram Grant says that his side will be going all out to turn things around as soon as possible.

  • Chelsea midfielder looking forward to London derby vs Spurs
  • Arsenal in the front row to sign Dutch striker

  • Grant "We haven't played well this season and the time has come in the last month for a change. We played one game against Birmingham which was fantastic and 20 minutes against Reading. There are many things we can improve on and we want to give the supporters a style of football."

Clearly,Chelsea's problems so far has been to lack of a goals, but without the injured Frank Lampard and Didier Drogba, it shouldn't come as a surprise that they have become shot shy, and that is something that Grant has admitted, "I think scoring goals is the main problem. Things have not gone well in the last two months and we have only scored two goals in five games. But I know the problems. The players have the quality but we haven't shown it so far."

Chelsea play at Hull tonight in the Carling Cup, followed by a home against Fulham on Saturday with the chance to get back on track and please the demanding board that saw Jose Mourinho leave last week.
