Liverpool are reportedly reayd to make a shock offer for Wigan's on loan striker Amr Zaki. The player is at Wigan temporarily from Zamalek, and is waiting for a permanent contract.

It is understood Liverpool coach Rafa Benitez is willing to offer £5 million to bring the Egyptian to Anfield.



Zaki impressed Benitez on his first visit to Anfield, as the striker scored a wonderful overhead kick against the Reds.



There will also be plenty of interest in Zaki from other clubs, including Villarreal who are reportedly interested.
