Shay Given has ruled out a move from Newcastle to Tottenham. There were reports that the Irish shotstopper was being lined up by Harry Redknapp for a January move to the club.
The Newcastle goalkeeper had been linked with a move to Spurs after the very disappointing start to life Heurelho Gomes had made at White Hart Lane.
Given said: âThey have spent money on a goalkeeper already so I donât think theyâre going to spend any more.
âIâm sure that when Heurelho Gomes gets his confidence back heâll be a very, very good goalkeeper again.
âI wouldnât want to leave Newcastle anyway, Iâm very happy where Iâm at.â
