Manchester City are reportedly ready to make an offer for Chelsea's want-away Brazilian centre back Alex. It is understood that Mark Hughes is to make an offer in the region of 10 million GBP to tempt Scolari into a sale.

Alex reportedly had a request for a transfer turned down by his club at the beginning of January, but this news that he is apparently unsettled has created some interest in the Brazilian.



Dutch giants PSV Eindhoven are also keen to bring the Brazilian international back to Holland, but the fee may be a problem.
