Manchester City are apparently interested in signing Newcastle's goalkeeper Shay Given in the January transfer window. Newcastle are known to be reluctant to sell the Irish international.
There have been rumours in the press this morning that Given could leave St. James' Park to the City of Manchester in a deal estimated to be worth around 5 million GBP.
Given himself is keen to try his hand at a bigger club, and Arsenal and Tottenham have been linked with his signature in recent weeks.
