Fulham to hang on to Hodgson

05 June 2010 - 07:36

Fulham are desperate to hang on to Roy Hodgson, after the departure of Rafa Benitez placed Roy as the favorite to take over at Anfield. Fulham are believed to be angry at claims that Hodgson will quit the club.

  • Chelsea ready new contract for star midfielder
  • Chelsea make first move to sign Xabi Alonso
  • Hodgson is the hot favorite to take the job, and Fulham will rebuff any approach for the manager.

It is understood that Fulham would not even accept the 2 million GBP compensation that is being spoke of.

Hodgson himself is currently on holiday in Wales, but it is understood he told close friends he would be interested in a move to Liverpool as he looks for his last big career move. Hodgson has previously coached Inter Milan, and would see Liverpool as his last big club.
