Charlie Adam admits Liverpool talks

Charlie Adam admits Liverpool talks

03 July 2011 - 04:47

Blackpool midfielder Charlie Adam has admitted for the first time that talks with Liverpool are under way. It is understood that the two teams are haggling over the transfer price for the Scottish international midfielder, the standout performer of Blackpool's ill fated Premiership campaign last year.

  • Chelsea expected to sell striker after loan deal
  • Arsenal defender misses training ahead of Man Utd game

  • Charlie Adam has been tracked by several of the biggest clubs in the Premiership; however a deal to Liverpool has recently stalled for some reason.

eyefootball understands that one reason may be because Arsenal have expressed an interest in Charlie Adam; but will only sign the Scottish international should Cesc Fabregas or Samir Nasri leave the club.

Charlie Adam has admitted he knows of Liverpool's interest, but has to wait for the two clubs to decide on a fee: "I go back to Blackpool on Monday and that's the way it is. Everybody knows the situation - the club have met with Liverpool but that's as far as it has gone.

"I had a conversation with the chairman but that will remain private.

"It's important that we keep everything in-house - whatever happens will happen."
