Tottenham will hang on to Modric

Tottenham assistant manager Kevin Bond has revealed that Croatian star Luka Modric will stay at White Hart Lane for the time being. Chelsea had bids of 22m and 27m rejected earlier in the summer.
However, it seems that Chelsea are not willing to improve upon their last offer and have turned their attention elsewhere. As reported earlier on eyefootball.com, Juan Mata is an option for Andre Villas-Boas.
Kevin Bond said: "He [Levy] has made it clear that Modric will stay and I think that's what will happen."
"The chairman's made it quite clear that Luka won't be leaving the football club, and probably I don't see that changing at all."
