Newcastle close in on Santon move

Newcastle will pull one of the biggest surprises of the transfer window if they can lure right back Davide Santon to the Toon from Inter Milan.

Santon is widely regarded as one of the best young defenders in Europe in his position; and Newcastle's promise of regular first team football seems to be tempting for the Italian.

According to reports, Santon is already in Newcastle today having a medical and discussing personal terms.
