Stoke to make shock offer for Romelu Lukaku?

Stoke may make an offer for Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku before the transfer window shuts, despite the Belgian forward only just signing for Chelsea.

It is understood that Stoke want to take the former Anderlecht man on loan for the season so that he can ensure regular first team Premier League action.

Andre Villas-Boas is a huge fan of Lukaku but already admitted that Fernando Torres and Didier Drogba are probably ahead of the queue for the first team places.

So far, the rumour has yet to be confirmed by Stoke City.
