Ross Barkley to sign Everton deal

Everton starlet Ross Barkley will sign a new contract at the club, ending months of speculation. The midfielder had been linked with a move to Chelsea.

However, Everton expect the youngster to pen a new five year contract once the player turns 18 in December.

The news will be a big relief for Everton fans, who were concerned they would again lose one of their brightest prospects to a big rival. Wayne Rooney left Everton for Man Utd when still a teenager, and has gone on to become one of the best players in England.
