Chelsea line up Gary Cahill move
Chelsea manager Andre Villas-Boas will make a move for Bolton defender Gary Cahill in the January transfer window, as the Stamford Bridge side look to find a long term successor for club captain John Terry.
Cahill's contract at the Reebok Stadium expires at the end of the season, and instead of losing the centre back on a free transfer, Bolton have decided to sell the defender in the January transfer window.
The Blues are currently readying a 10m GBP offer for the England international, ironically, that is reportedly the same fee that Arsenal offered last summer for Cahill. Bolton rejected that offer and Tottenham were unable to complete a move for the centre back on transfer deadline day.
Chelsea will now make a firm offer for Cahill in the coming week and the player is expected to arrive at Stamford Bridge sometime in January.
