Tottenham defender Vedran Corluka is on his way to Rome after failing to impress Harry Redknapp this season. The Croatian is playing second fiddle to the first choice Kyle Walker at right-back and has managed to appear only three times this season.

Corluka's agent Nikky Vuksan confirmed that the player is in talks with Roma and a move in January would be possible. Roma will have to cough up £3-£4M to get the Croat's signature.

Roma boss, Luis Enrique, wants to sign the 25-year old to solve the defensive crisis created by the injury of Nicolas Burdisso. Roma are sixth in the Italian Serie A and they would need depth in their squad to challenge for a Champions League spot.

The player nick-name 'Charlie' by the Spurs fans wants to play in Euro 2012 and would relish the chance of first team opportunity in Stadio Olimpico.
